Paddleboard Lesson Breakdown
Once you arrive at the school we will get you fitted out with any kit that you need. We provide everything including a wetsuit and buoyancy aid. However if you have your own kit please feel free to bring it along.
After a quick induction your instructor will then take you through the different parts of the equipment. As well as a brief risk assessment that you can use every time you go out by yourself.
Your instructor will then take you down to the water you will spend the majority of the lesson learing about the different positions that you can adopt on a paddleboard. We will concentrate on ways to help you with balance and control. This will mean that you can start to learn how to stand up and paddle around safely.
Finally once you are up and cruising on your paddleboard we will then take you on a quick tour of the bay. We will use this opportunity to introduce new paddle techniques including the cross bow rudder and the step back turn.
The aim of this paddleboard lesson is to give you the tools to go off by yourself and paddleboard confidently anywhere in the world.
Finally, If you know what you are doing you can always just hire a board 🙂
