Kayak Hire in Mounts Bay Explore St Michaels Mount from the water.
All of our Kayaks are super stable sit on top kayaks. They are designed for beginners to intermediate paddlers who want an easy way to get into the sport. They all have their own viewing porthole which allows you to see the fish and other creatures as you paddle over them.
Mounts bay is crystal clear on a summers day which means you can see all the way to the bottom for a long way out.
With very few hazards and no rip tides, it is the perfect place for kayak hire. Young or old, fit or not, everyone will have a great time paddling up and down the shores of Mounts Bay.
If you head to the East you can explore around Long Rock a natural breakwater. Long Rock is home to some amazing species of seaweed, crabs, fish and even a seal or two at times. To the west you can go and explore St Michaels Mount. The Mount is an amazing feat of engineering and a sight to behold from sea level. Or if you prefer you can choose to stay in the middle of the bay. Here you can play with the small surf. Our Kayaks are built to ride small waves and swell in a fun and stable manner.

Kayak Rental – Where to Go and What to See.
There is a lot to see and do in a kayak in Mounts Bay. You can head over to St Michaels Mount and enjoy the view from the water. Monks built St Michaels Mount in the 11th century, which is still an incredible feat even by todays standards. Paddling east you can visit Long Rock a natural breakwater. Long Rock helps form a natural lagoon that is rife with aquatic life. There are lots of species of sea-weed and kelp as well as fish, crabs and seals.
Further out into the bay you can sometimes, (if you’re very lucky) catch a glimpse of a pod of dolphins as well.
The bay has a sandy bottom and crystal clear waters on a calm sunny day. This means that it is not only warm but also very safe.
